History
Born in 1954 in Kiev, Ukraine, Anthony was destined to join the ranks of the most well-known and respected furriers. With his father and two uncles in the fur business since the 1930s, he was determined to carry on the family craft. After graduating from high school in 1975, Anthony started learning the basic skills of a cut furrier in a major fur factory in Kiev. He then went on to further his education in the technical engineering aspects of the fur industry and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree, with a specialty in fur and leather processing.
In 1989, Anthony and his family emigrated to the United States, where he obtained the prestigious position of Designer-Furrier at a leading Fur Salon in Chicago. After several years, he decided to combine his creativity and passion for sewing and design with his entrepreneurial ambition by opening his own fur business. Since its inception in 1993, Anthony Fur Studio has been successfully serving the needs of clients and fur retailers in the Chicagoland area.
